Terroir:

This cuvée comes from a terroir of brown schist and sandstone schist, well exposed to the sun and protected from cold winds.

Historique :

Following the 2024 vintage, which can be summed up in two words: self-sacrifice and resilience. Nature and its whims gave us a poor harvest, so we had to come up with a Plan B.

This is how this unique cuvée came about, the result of an organic partnership with two passionate winegrowers from Anjou. Together, we put all our expertise into creating a 100% Chenin wine, Plan Bedouet, combining character and finesse.

A Plan B for the future, a wine that stands out for its freshness, complexity and depth, to be discovered and enjoyed during precious moments.

Vine cultivation and winemaking:

The work in the vineyard is rigorous and precise, because this is where the wine is made: organic cultivation, soil cultivation, no synthetic chemicals, and management based on the life of the soil and the vines.

The grapes are gently pressed (pneumatically). The must flows naturally by gravity into one of our underground vats. The yeasts that accompany the start of alcoholic fermentation are indigenous (from the grapes and the environment), activated by a ‘homemade’ starter culture (levain). The watchword is to handle the harvest as little as possible and use as few inputs as possible.

Breeding:

This wine is aged on its fine lees until bottling, which is made at the domaine by us.

Tasting:

Brilliant and golden in colour, the nose is concentrated and surprising with its notes of yellow fruit. The palate is pure and complex, both powerful and refreshing, smooth and taut. Persistence, richness, balance and notes of ripe fruit are all present!

Food and wine pairings:

Serve between 11 and 13°C with white fish, goat's cheese and seafood dishes.
